Terms of Service

01Lessons

• Lessons are conducted live and online, daily from 9:00am to 10:30pm.
• We offer 1-to-1 lessons, small group classes with a maximum size of 5 students, and private groups with friends and family.
• Our staff coordinate the schedule with you and place you in a class matching your level. We may occasionally need to adjust class arrangements, and will always coordinate changes with you.
• Students with prior learning experience can request a free level check, so we can place them at the right level.

02Fees and payment

• Lesson fees are payable at the beginning of every 5 lessons.
• We send an invoice before payment; payment can be made via PayLah! or PayNow.
• Published prices (for example, from $20 per lesson) are indicative and may be updated from time to time; the fees on your invoice apply.
• Group discounts are available for private friends-and-family groups.

03Rescheduling and absences

Life happens — if you cannot make a lesson, let us know as early as you can and we will do our best to accommodate you. Students in 1-to-1 lessons may choose a new timing every week.

04Materials and intellectual property

• Our slides, workbooks, worksheets and notes are the intellectual property of Nami Japanese Academy.
• Unauthorised copying, distribution and sale of our materials is strictly prohibited.
• Physical textbooks delivered to you are yours to keep.

05Classroom conduct

Our classes are small and personal, and we keep them welcoming. We ask all students to treat their senseis and classmates with respect; we may decline to continue lessons where behaviour makes a class unworkable for others.

06Our responsibility

We put real care into our curriculum and teaching, and our students' results speak for themselves — but examination outcomes ultimately depend on each student, and we cannot guarantee a particular result. To the extent permitted by law, the website and our services are provided as-is.

07Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
